Thanks!
I wish I could say the same, but maybe it’s just passing me by. It’s very much not for me anymore it feels like… and I know the mission statement was give everyone something new, so the new readers can latch on, but the old readers will be reinvigorated.
I’m not against change, good lord I’ve had arguments over how DC’s tactics are good for what they are, how stuff they’ve done wouldn’t exist without it, etc, so do see viability in what happened with Marvel now.
But it’s just not for me anymore and that’s clear and sucks.
The reboots and events have taken their toll and all I want is some good stories, not gimmicks or whatnot to lure me into them. It is to the point now where I go “I could continue with All-New Wolverine or Totally Awesome Hulk, but I’ll likely drop it after the first arc like I did Herc, and Indestructible Hulk, and Spider-Gwen, and New Excalibur, and Wolverine volumes 4-6 and Cap volumes 5-7 and”… yeah.
I’m still getting the odd thing here and there… the MCU stuff is fun, and Hercules thus far is enjoyable, but it’s really disheartening feeling like you’re on the outside looking in.
Last time this happened, Onslaught finished, and I didn’t come back to things until 1602. I don’t see that happening here, different circumstances of course, but DC’s reboots went from me getting 10-15 books a month to 1-2. Marvel literally just had the same thing happen, and I was getting 15-20 there.
That happens when you’re in the minority though, and is 100% fair. Just, yeah Make Mine Marvel doesn’t work anymore with me.
